BRAN CASTLE

Built on a rock located across the valley, it dominates the surroundings. The Fortress' "birth document" is dated November 19th 1377. The weapons (a cannon dating since 1601), the Feudal art present here (mural paintings dating since 1512), the carpets and the furniture belonging to the Renaissance and Baroque, the Music Room with gothic elements, the care with which the area was looked after, especially when it belonged to the Romanian Royal Family, have made it even more famous. The legend that made the castle famous was that of Dracula, associated to the Romanian ruler Vlad the lmpaler.
